Back when I was growing up in the late 50s and 60s, like Mr. Vito Perrone, I was taught that the terms “ladies” and “gentlemen” were used as a way of showing respect for a person. I don’t understand why the Easthampton School Commitee members said it was ” microaggresion.” What term would have been acceptable? The man meant no disrespect whatsoever, that’s why I don’t understand the job being rescinded. Can someone please explain?
