On the last day of Passover, I went to WoodstarCafé for a cup of coffee. I was delighted to see a Passover pear cardamom cake in the bakery case. In the current climate, with antisemitism on the rise the fact that the good folks of Woodstar made a special effort to have a sweet treat for those of us observing Passover meant the world to me. It made me feel welcome. And it was delicious! It may seem a small thing to some, but to me, this kind gesture carried a huge message. Thank you.
