Sam Breen will make her USA Basketball debut at the USA 3×3 Women’s National Team Trials this weekend in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
The former UMass forward is one of 18 athletes that will be evaluated for spots on the 2023-24 national teams. The pool includes a mix of collegiate and professional players, seven of whom have represented the USA in international 3×3 competition as well.
Breen was named the Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year last season and won her second consecutive Atlantic 10 Player of the Year Award. She became UMass’ all-time leading scorer and led the Minutewomen to their first regular season conference title
