AJ Guerrero and EJ Kreutzmann each went 3-for-5 with a solo home run for the Valley Blue Sox in an 8-4 loss to the Danbury Westerners on Thursday in Danbury.
Jonathan Bautista made his debut on the mound for the Blue Sox, tossing five innings and striking out seven.
Guerrero and Kreutzmann got things going with back-to-back solo shots in the sixth. Michael Zarrillo added a homer in the frame while Sean Scanlon added a sac fly in the top of the eighth to help put the game away.
Leo Harris allowed two runs in relief for the Blue Sox while Jason Arrigo allowed one and struck out two in one innings work for Valley.
