Israel’s great moral challenge, in its invasion of Gaza, is not to replicate Bush’s retaliation for 9/11, by committing collective punishment upon millions of innocent Palestinian civilians. History will record Bush’s invasion on Baghdad as genocide, perpetrated against thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians that has left the present Middle East in geopolitical chaos, extremism and devastating cyclical reprisals. It is now, more than 20 years since Bush claimed: “Mission accomplished.” When will we ever learn?
