There’s been a lot of talk about revitalizing downtown. To me, supporting the Parlor Room Collective is without a doubt the most bang I could get for my philanthropic buck. So that’s what I just did on Giving Tuesday, hoping that the folks at Signature Sounds and the Parlor Room will continue doing what they do very well, producing shows that will get me and many others back to downtown Northampton. It’s always dicey, predicting how the face of a city will change in advance of revitalization programs. Whatever the planners have in mind for Northampton going forward, it would be a shame if music is not prominent.
