Margaret Edwards led all scorers with 25 points, and the Williston Northampton School girls basketball team earned a 52-23 victory over St. Mark’s on Wednesday.
Skyler Walker followed with 22 points for the Wildcats, and Kat Mayer added five points.
In boys basketball action Wednesday, the ’Cats dropped a tough one at home to Winchendon, 74-68. Williston returns to action Friday night against Rivers in the Scholar Roundball Classic at Eastern Nazarene College.
Elsewhere, the girls varsity squash team fell to Loomis Chaffee, 9-0, in their home opener.
Despite the outcome, the Wildcats played with intensity and determination that will continue to help the young team.
The girls swimming and diving team lost to Hopkins, 102-83. Francesca Gionfriddo led all divers with an impressive score of 219.95. Lucy Hoyt picked up an event win in the 500 free.
The boys swimming and diving lost at Hopkins, 96-76. Cole Cavanagh won the diving event in convincing fashion, while Jumpei Ro put together three personal best times on the day.
