
NORTHAMPTON — Rep. Lindsay Sabadosa, D-Northampton, will host a biennial (virtual) bill filing celebration on Monday at 7 p.m.
The event, held on Zoom, will feature updates on legislative priorities for the upcoming session and provide an opportunity to discuss the bills being filed.

HOLYOKE — The Girl Scouts of Central and Western Massachusetts annual cookie program launches on Friday and troops will be selling through March 16.
The cookie program teaches Girl Scouts important life skills and a host of real-world business skills. Throughout this experience, Girl Scouts will obtain goal setting, decision-making, money management, people skills, business ethics, and more.
Cookie flavors include Thin Mints, Adventurefuls, Samoas, Tagalongs, Do-si-dos, Lemon Up, Toffee-tastic, Trefoils, and the retiring S’mores. Girl Scout cookies cost $6 per package.
Patrons can buy cookies from a registered Girl Scout, visit gscwm.org/cookies to find a local cookie booth location or to connect with a local troop’s online cookie shop, or text COOKIES to 59618 to stay informed about how to purchase cookies.
Girl Scouts of Central and Western Massachusetts serves nearly 6,000 girls in grades K through 12 with the support of 3,000 adult members in186 towns and cities in central and western Massachusetts.
SPRINGFIELD — The Jewish Federation of Western Massachusetts’s Jewish Endowment Foundation is inviting undergraduate and college-bound students to apply to its annual Common Fund scholarships through March 28.
Qualified students regardless of race, religion, and gender are encouraged to apply. Scholarships are awarded based on a combination of academic, financial need and community involvement.
The Federation’s Common Fund grants college scholarships to all qualified high school students who are residents of Hampden, Hampshire, and Franklin counties. Since 2015, Federation’s Jewish Endowment Foundation Common Fund has awarded more than $260,000 in scholarships to more than 240 college bound students. Approximately 30 students are selected each year to receive this scholarship.
Once chosen, undergraduate students are eligible to renew their awards for their full four years of college. To apply, visit jewishwesternmass.org/grants-scholarships.
The Polish Junior League of Massachusetts will award scholarships again this year for college students of Polish heritage.
Scholarships will be awarded to undergraduate students, and one scholarship will be granted to a graduate or returning student.
Application information and forms may be obtained at polishjuniorleaguema.org/applications. The deadline to apply is May 1. Selection is based on financial need and academic achievement.
