
GOSHEN — State Rep. Lindsay Sabadosa will hold a town hall discussion on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Town Hall. The event will last until 2:30 p.m. and will feature updates on the legislative session, specific policy updates and a question-and-answer session. All are welcome to attend.
AMHERST — Music will emanate throughout town this summer many concerts.
Starting this Friday, the Amherst Business Improvement District announces the 2025 summer music series line-up, which will take place over five Fridays this summer from 5-8 p.m. on the Town Common:
■Friday, June 27: Harvest & Rust & Willie Nelson Songs and Stories with Matt York.
■Friday, July 11: Special Triple Feature: LeFever, Lonesome Brothers, & BR413.
■Friday, July 18: The GemsTones & Masala Jazz.
■Friday, July 25: UMass Jazz in July Program: All Stars Concert.
■Friday, Aug. 1: Bad News Jazz Orchestra & The Henderson Blues Band.
The Amherst Community Band Concerts also begin this week, on Saturday at Sweetser Park off Lessey and Main streets.
The band, conducted by Timothy Todd Anderson, begins its season at 6 p.m. featuring the music of witches and magic.
Other concerts will take place on Saturday, July 26, with a Quincy Jones Tribute and on Aug. 17 with band classics.
HOLYOKE — Holyoke’s Community Preservation Act Committee announces the opening of its fiscal 2026 grant cycle. Potential applicants are invited to submit eligibility application forms by Aug. 15.
Adopted by Holyoke in 2016, the purpose of the CPA is to support historic preservation, recreation, open space and community housing within Holyoke. The Holyoke CPA has funded a variety of popular projects throughout the city, including the Miracle League Playground, restoration of Lady Liberty at Veterans Park, the ongoing upgrades to Scotts Tower and surrounding park and many others.
Since adoption, the Holyoke CPC has disbursed over $4.5 million to preserve Holyoke’s character and improve quality of life for its residents. Visit holyokeCPAC.org for more information.

HADLEY — The Porter-Phelps-Huntington Museum continues the 44th season of the Wednesday Folk Traditions concert series on Wednesday, July 9, with Rebelle. ReBelle’s vocals and multi-instrumental arrangements combine Rasta, soul, folk, and poetry.
Concerts are held Wednesday evenings at 6:30, outside in the Sunken Garden at museum, 130 River Dr.

Wednesday Folk Traditions continue on July 16 with Afro-Semitic Experience, which are 25 years dedicated to preserving, promoting, and expanding the cultural and musical heritage of the Jewish and African diaspora. Composed of African American and Jewish American musicians, their performance creates an artistic response to anti-Semitism and racism, a shared common humanity to create a more harmonious, inclusive society.
