My son lives and works as a lawyer in Washington, D.C. Knowing how he feels about Donald Trump’s deployment of multiple “law enforcement” entities to curb the so-called mayhem and destruction of our nation’s capitol (which according to Trump, did not happen on Jan. 6), I have advised my son not to throw a sandwich at any of the newly deployed storm troopers in the capitol. Instead, I have advised him just to give them the well known salute to Hitler. I feel this gives him plausible deniability. Am I protesting them? Or honoring them? I wonder how our Gazette readership agrees with this fatherly advice on how best to protest Trump’s Nazi-like takeover of our country?
