AMHERST — The high school sports season is officially here, as on Monday the fall season kicked off with a golf match at Amherst Golf Club between Amherst Regional and Ludlow. Behind a stellar round of 34 from Noah Baghot, the Lions got the better of the ‘Canes, 157-188.

Ben Scott shot the low score for Amherst, carding a 41. After a 5-7 year for a young Hurricanes group in 2024, they’re looking for a bounce-back campaign this time around.

Amherst (0-1) will eye its first victory of the season on Thursday against Belchertown back at Amherst Golf Club.
