Columnist Richard Fein begins his latest column (“Israel /Palestine: It’s getting worse for both sides,” Gazette, Aug. 25) problematically, with “In Gaza, Palestinians are living through a humanitarian catastrophe with widespread hunger and even starvation.”
The problem he introduces is obvious to all who are witnessing what is happening to Palestinians; they are suffering in Gaza and the occupied West Bank from a genocide committed by Israelis, that is supported by our federally elected Democratic and Republican representatives, and the Trump administration — and is funded by us, whether we like it or not. Israelis do not intend for them to live, at all.
Palestinians are not “living through a humanitarian catastrophe.” They are being annihilated completely.
