I hope the Gazette heeds Mattea Kramer’s request (“Money, power and genocide,” Aug. 27) and covers Israel’s genocide against Palestinians as a war crime.
But, as I understand it, the state’s Special Commission on Combatting Antisemitism led by Sen. John Velis considers what Mattea wrote to be antisemitic. And would accuse the Gazette of antisemitism if it heeded Mattea’s request.
The commission’s report to the Legislature is due Nov. 30. The Legislature should not accept the notion that criticism of Israel is antisemitism. Please let your legislators know that. (https://malegislature.gov/Search/FindMyLegislator)
