EASTHAMPTON — Pita Pockets announced on social media last Wednesday morning that its Easthampton location has permanently closed.

The post made on the Pita Pockets Facebook page states, “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the permanent closure of our Easthampton location … We are truly sorry for this outcome. And we thank you for your support!”

The post states that plans were in place to sell the business to a family member, but could not follow through and had to close due to fire code issues.

The Easthampton location opened in November 2023 at 42 Cottage St., which had formerly housed Daily Operation. Pita Pocket continues to operate two remaining locations in Northampton and Amherst.

The owner declined to comment.
