Drivers using Barrett Street seem to treat it like a highway and do not obey the posted 25 MPH speed limit. I have emailed the mayor about this issue and there is a lack of enforcement and or care as there has not been anything done to address this matter. Said speeding has led to our cat being run over and killed this afternoon. PTVA buses as well as school buses also do not follow the posted speed limit. I thought bringing to the attention of the public something might be done to solve this issue before someone gets hurt or worse. There is no reason for anyone to be speeding on this street other than they just don’t care. Thank you for your time and consideration towards this matter and God rest our cat’s soul.
