Evelyn M. (McCoy) Dubois
Florence, MA – Evelyn M. (McCoy) Dubois, 89, of Ryan Road passed away
peacefully on Wednesday September 24, 2025 at Linda Manor Nursing
Home. She was born in Holyoke, MA on May 17, 1936 to the late Raymond
and Delcie (St. Germain) McCoy. Evelyn grew up in Holyoke and went to
local schools graduating from Holyoke Highschool. She worked as a
clerk in the Medicine Shop in Florence for several years before
retiring in 1999. Evelyn loved to knit and was part of Hug-a-bears, a
group of friends that would hand sew bears and deliver them to local
hospitals. She was a member of the Purple Stars and loved to line
dance. Evelyn was pre-deceased by her husband Albert Dubois in 2019.
She is survived by her 2 daughters Jacqueline Burt and Lori Reynolds
and her husband John, all of Easthampton, her sister Mary Anderson of
Chicopee, her sister in law Rose McCoy of Northampton, her brother in
law Paul Lariviere and his wife Jean of Colchester, CT and her 5
grandchildren, Adam Burt Jr. and his wife Amy, Jordan Burt and her
husband Sebastian, Alex Reynolds and his girlfriend Anyssa, Jared
Reynolds and Owen Reynolds, 1 great granddaughter Ruby and several
nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass for Evelyn will be Friday, October
3, 2025 at 10 a.m. at the Annunciation Chapel, 87 Beacon St.,
Florence. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Northampton.
There are no Calling Hours. Donations in Evelyn’s memory may be made
to a charity of one’s choice.
