JOHN ZOKOWSKI

Hatfield, MA – John Michael Zokowski, 80, of Hatfield, MA, passed away
peacefully on September 23, 2025.

Born on April 12, 1945, he was the son of the late John and Nelly
Zokowski. He is pre-deceased by his sister Jan-Marie Theroux.

John earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Ethics from the
University of Massachusetts later in life. He worked for 53 years as a
distributor’s rep in fine & industrial papers for Chatfield Paper and
then Butler-Dearden, where he established a niche market in specialty
papers for alternative photographic processes and worked with museums,
artists, and photographers across the country, including Dan
Burkholder, Tillman Crane, Jill Enfield, and the Getty Museum.

John enjoyed spending time with his dogs Magic and Sugar, fishing with
his son and grandson, and going for walks at Quabbin reservoir. An
avid history buff, he often could be found with a book about WW II in
his hands and tracing his ancestral roots. He especially loved sharing
his investing knowledge with the younger generation.

In lieu of flowers please consider donating to one the following
organizations he was a staunch supporter of – St Jude’s Hospital, The
American Heart Association, and Dakin Animal Rescue.

John leaves behind the love of his life and devoted wife of 58 years,
Marjorie; his daughter Peg (Gerry); his son Mike (Katie); a cherished
grandson Will; several cousins and many close friends, including
Albert, the brother he never had, Bill, and Jim.

Calling hours are from 2-3 PM at Czelusniak Funeral Home in
Northampton, MA, on Wednesday, October 1, followed by a remembrance
service at 3 PM.
