In my nearly 50-year career I hired countless people. Judging from how long people remained in their position and progressed I was apparently quite successful. The criteria I judged by were clear and not surprising. I looked for length and degree of relevant experience, self awareness, enthusiasm, and ability to get along with coworkers and other people with whom they would interact. As I’ve been listening to and watching the Easthampton mayoral candidates, it is clear that Salem Derby stands out from the others on all these criteria. I will vote for him and encourage you to. He has been effective in Easthampton city government for nearly 25 years and will be a successful mayor.
