I am writing to express my hope that Laurie Loisel is the next city councilor from Ward 3. As an elected official in Northampton, I was on the receiving end of Laurie’s questions when she was a reporter at the Gazette. Her curiosity and persistence were always driven by her goal of writing the most accurate and clear story for the readers. I didn’t always like the questions (or the persistence) but it was my obligation answer them.
Northampton needs Laurie Loisel’s curiosity, her attention to details as well as the big picture, and her commitment to sorting out facts from fiction. Those are the building blocks of good governance.
