We are in strong support of Megan Wolf as a write-in candidate for Ward 4 School Committee in Northampton. A lot of people are talking about being a change candidate. To us, Megan Wolf is more than that, offering change as well as a wealth of experience to the School Committee just when we may need it most. She brings experience that no other candidate can offer. She has years of policy knowledge as a legislative director on Capitol Hill. With cutbacks looming to education funding at the federal level, we need her insights and expertise. As COO to the Women’s Funding Network, she brings fiscal management skills to help provide oversight to an ever-tightening school budget and she knows the importance of advocating for additional funding for our schools. As a parent, she feels the impact personally of each decision that she will make to improve our local school system. Her experience, her skills, and her knowledge are not enough, though. She brings her integrity to listen and collaborate on behalf of our whole community. As a city, we are fortunate to have so many candidates running with very different ideas of how the city can move forward. In our ward, we now have the choice to make a real change.
