Easthampton, MA – Hazel A. Ferreira (nee Hersey) passed away on September 7, 2025. She was 88 years old and had been married for 67 years. Her husband, Daniel Ferreira passed away 15 days after she did.
Hazel was preceded in death by her brother, Norman Hersey.
She is survived by her son, Daniel Ferreira Jr., daughter, Mary E. Magner (nee Ferreira,) son-in-law G. Edward Magner, and granddaughters, Devin Lynch and Erin Magner.
Hazel graduated from Story High School in Manchester Massachusetts. She then attended and completed secretarial school.
Hazel was a secretary for Parker Brothers for many years. She then moved into medical secretarial work, eventually becoming an administrative assistant. She was a talented knitter who always had a project underway. She also loved cats and the performing arts.
She most recently resided in Easthampton MA.
