South Hadley, MA – Laurel L. (Carlson) Connelly, 84, of South Hadley, passed away at her home on Oct 16, 2025. She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she met her late husband of 45 years, Robert J. Connelly. They moved together to Granville, MA, and created a magical home for their family on top of a mountain – an incredible place Robert named "Laurel Ridge" in honor of his beloved wife.
Laurel was a devoted mother, wife, and daughter. She was also a talented gardener and creator of beautiful crafts made with love.
She leaves behind two children, H.D. Connelly and Rob Connelly, of Massachusetts, her stepdaughter Sharon Doxsee, of Florida, and many friends who made her years in South Hadley so special. May her memory bring comfort to all who loved her.
