From the moment I met Aline Davis, her commitment was unmistakable. She was running for School Committee in Northampton, and as an educator, a parent of Northampton public school students, a union organizer, and a Peace Corps volunteer, she was a genuine, if understated, powerhouse. In her two at-large terms, she has supported excellence in our schools with a sustainable approach while maintaining collaborative and respectful discourse at all times. In Ward 5, we are fortunate that she is bringing her considerable experience and skills to her City Council candidacy, where her vision will include matters close to home like roads and sidewalks, and those city-wide and beyond, like affordable housing.
I like to think that my wife, Linda Desmond, set the tone for heartfelt representation as a Ward 5 city councilor, and I am confident that Aline Davis will continue in that manner for the benefit of all of her constituents. Aline is positively the one for 5.
