The Mount Greylock boys soccer team defended its Western Massachusetts Class C title yet again after downing Smith Voc, 3-0, at Berkshire Community College on Wednesday.
The top-seeded Mounties scored all three goals during the first half as the Vikings had no answers for the victors, who’ve now won three consecutive Class C crowns.
Smith Voc, the third seed, received five yellow cards in the match, forcing the final to end early with about 15 minutes left on the clock.
The Vikings will begin their MIAA state tournament journey with a 12-4-2 record.
Girls soccer
Smith Voc 7, Old Colony 0 — Erin Miller’s four points propelled the Vikings in the small school vocational state tournament semifinal victory.
Miller scored and tallied three assists to send Smith Voc to the championship against McCann Tech.
Monique Fredette (two goals) and Julianis Suarez (goal, assist) also picked up multiple points for Smith Voc.

Hampshire 1, Ludlow 1 — The Raiders recorded their sixth consecutive tie following Wednesday’s road match.
Claire Pickard found the mesh for Hampshire on an assist from Maggie Lashway during the first half.
The Lions evened the score in the second half, getting a shot past Raiders goalie Karaghan Rogalski (eight saves), to make it 1-1, which held until the final whistle.

Hopkins 3, Sci-Tech 0 — Tuesday’s affair was a chippy one as Sci-Tech was given five yellow cards, plus a red card, causing the match to end in a forfeit.
Nate Rickles scored for the Golden Hawks.
Girls soccer
Holyoke 6, Franklin Tech 1 — The Purple Knights blitzed the Eagles, netting all six goals of their goals in the first 40 minutes of action.
Kyra Lippman and Leilany Figueroa each scored twice, while Mia Healy and Leilany Figueroa registered single strikes.
Samantha Duncan netted Tech’s only goal in the second half, with Faythe Sobieski getting credited with the assist.

Wahconah 1, South Hadley 0 — The Tigers dropped a close one on their home turf.
Noah Carillonย collected five saves in the loss for South Hadley.
