The Smith Academy senior class is hosting a 5K walk/run later this month, named the Falcons on the Run 5K, to help support the Smith Academy Class of 2026.
The course starts and ends at Smith Academy and is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 22 at 9 a.m.
Registration for the event costs $35 and is open until Nov. 19. A free t-shirt is included for anyone who pre-registers by Nov. 7.
The top male and female finishers will each be awarded cash prizes, while light refreshments will be available to all participants.

Southampton CC
The Southampton Country Club Senior Two-Ball took place toward the end of October, with several duos claiming first-place finishes.
In the White Division, Zaborowski and Tryba won the gross competition with a 70, while Barz and Wycoff claimed victory in the net competition with a 67.
In the Gold Division, Gamble and Guay (74) took first in gross scoring and Holmes and Guertin (64) had the best net score.
Middle School Cross Country
The eighth annual Middle School Cross Country Invitational was held on Oct. 21 in Granby, with several Hampshire County runners turning in strong races.
Amherst’s Harrison Kain won the boys race in nine minutes, 51 seconds. Also in the top five were Samuel Monette (Hampshire Regional, 9:52), Otto Ewing (Mountain View, 10:17), Ryan Lu (PVCICS, 10:26) and Jonah Sommers (Amherst, 10:31).
Amherst won the boys team competition with 53 points.
On the girls side, Grace Cooney’s second-place finish was best among area runners as the Granby native crossed the finish line in 11:17.
Gateway’s Ava Christie (11:21) and Mountain View’s Amelia Dodge (11:28) rounded out local top-five finishers.
Mountain View had the lowest girls team score with 54 overall points.
