JOHN YARROWS SR.

Hatfield, MA – John Peter Yarrows Sr, “Jack,” of Hatfield passed away at the age of 66 on November 13, 2025 surrounded by family.

Jack was born on August 19, 1959 in Springfield, MA to David F. Yarrows and Mary Yarrows (Harrington). He grew up in Leeds and Northampton, where he attended Leeds Elementary and St. Michael’s High School before graduating from Northampton High School in 1977. He then enlisted in the United States Navy, serving from 1978-1982, reaching the rank of OM2 at the time of his honorable discharge. After the Navy, Jack began working at Kollmorgen where he spent over 30 years.

Jack’s Catholic faith was a guiding force throughout his life. He was an avid sports fan of all Boston sports teams. Jack loved spending time with his family. He had a standing weekly trip to visit his parents to have a cup of coffee and crack jokes with his brothers and sisters. He loved being outside doing yardwork and gardening, growing the best tomatoes to make his dad’s spaghetti sauce recipe.

Jack was predeceased by his parents, David and Mary Yarrows and by his siblings Daniel and Julia. He is survived by his wife Marsha (Skwira) of Hatfield, and his children Beth and Karl Erickson and Jack Jr. and Katie Yarrows. He is also survived by his siblings Mary Achor, David Yarrows, Jimmy Yarrows, Theresa Yarrows, Patrick Yarrows, Peg Lindquist, and Dennis Yarrows and their families, as well as many beloved extended family members.

The calling hours will be at Czelusniak Funeral Home at 173 North Street in Northampton on Friday, November 21, 2025 from 8:30-10:30am followed by a funeral mass at 11am at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church at 11 School Street in Hatfield.
