Pelham, MA – Wayne A. Lynch – 73 of 67 Enfield Rd., Pelham passed away peacefully at Linda Manor Extended Care Facility in Leeds. Wayne was born in Northampton, MA on December 9, 1951. He was the son of the late William E. and Rosemary (Friel) Lynch, Jr.
Wayne was a 1970 graduate of Northampton High School and worked at the VA Medical Center in Leeds for over 30 years, retiring in 2007. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam receiving the Distinguish Flying Cross. He was a life member and past commander of V.F.W. Post 8006 of Florence and a member of the American Legion Post 28. He was also past President of the Pelham Lions Club in 1992.
Wayne is predeceased by his wife Lorraine Lynch/Weaver, a twin brother, John Lynch and a sister Deborah White. He Leaves behind his son David Lynch of Connecticut; two stepdaughters, Deborah Fuller of Belchertown and Katherine Griffin and son-in-law Tim Griffin of Pelham; his brother William Lynch, III and sister-in-law Monica Lynch of Easthampton and sister Rosemary Boudreau of California. He also leaves behind 8 grandchildren, Brian Fuller of Pelham, Ashley Fuller of South Hadley, Brianna Bartos of Shutesbury, Carissa Fuller of Pelham, Timmy Griffin and Alex Griffin of Pelham, Aidan Lynch of Tennessee, and Athena Lynch of Thailand.
Calling hours will be at Douglass Funeral Home, 87 North Pleasant Street, Amherst, MA on Sunday December 7, from 11AM to 1pm.
There will be a private burial at the Quabbin Cemetery in Belchertown at a later date.
