Hatfield, MA – “Ted” or Thaddeus Lawrence Kabat Jr born on June 11 1951 the son of Helen and Ted Kabat Sr. passed away peacefully on November 28th 2025 in his Massachusetts home at the age of 74. A longtime resident of Hatfield Massachusetts Ted built his life around hard work, integrity, and a deep connection to the land
Ted spent his career in agriculture and sales creating lasting relationships with coworkers. He had a steadfast work ethic and a genuine interest in people, making him a trusted professional and a valued friend.
He could coax any seed into bloom. Caring for his vibrant flowers gave him immense Joy; and he found happiness in watching things grow
He is survived by his 2 daughters Tara Lynn Skoog of Denton Texas and Stephanie Ann Barngrover of Colleyville Texas as well as his Ex-wife Joan Kabat and 5 grandchildren Joseph, Aubrey and Ashley Skoog and Morgan and Raegan Barngrover
A celebration of Ted’s life will be held at Czelusniak Funeral Home on Tuesday December 16th from 4-6 pm.
