I just finished reading an article in the Gazette about Congressman Jim McGovern taking his “Progress for the People” tour into the belly of the beast: GOP districts whose Republican representatives are refusing to answer to their constituents publicly. Kudos! A bold and excellent strategy to get the truth out about how disastrous Donald Trump’s policies are for working and middle class Americans!
He also stated in the article that the town hall meeting he recently held in Scranton, Pennsylvania was not a “one-off,” and that he intends to continue doing the same in other GOP districts. What an effective way to counter all the lies and propaganda coming out of the White House on a daily basis! His democratic colleagues in both the House and Senate should follow his example! Let red state voters hear where Democrats stand and what they hope to do for the people directly from them, rather than the corporate media and Trump’s social media rants.
