I have to be careful these days to pick the moment and the issue, otherwise the basic tasks of living would be neglected. The recent events in Minneapolis have awakened my “Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS)” full on. Understand that my definition of TDS is not exactly the same as many letter writers to this paper. Deranged? Yes. To defend the murder, brutality, and government-funded terrorism that ICE agents have been perpetrating in Minnesota these past several weeks is deranged in the extreme. To call these thugs “patriots,” as Trump was recently quoted, is beyond disgusting. I don’t believe for a minute that there are enough dangerous criminals among the migrants being targeted to justify what is essentially warfare against families and communities in our own country. I encourage all the patriots among us to write your elected representatives and demand that funding for ICE be terminated. Enough is enough.
