There was an article on the front-page of the Wall Street Journal detailing how President Donald Trump’s inner circle is cashing in on his support for crypto. His actions match two points brought up in a BBC podcast on how dictators stay in power. Their first point is that they allow corruption because if any of their minions are disloyal, they can go after them for being corrupt. This allows them to eliminate people working with them and claim that they are making an effort to root out corruption. The second point raised in the BBC podcast is that dictators allow elections, because it shows where their supporters and non-supporters are located. Thus, is it any wonder why ICE is going after immigrants in Minnesota? So the only dangerous immigrants are in Blue states?
