Time to strike
It seems to me that calling for a strike on May 1 and the school superintendent supporting the strike — meets fire with fire. I am way beyond saying that “these are not normal times!” When we have the president of the United States threatening to wipe out a civilization… we are way beyond saying that “these are not normal times.” This is a crucial time, an existential time! The willingness of school teachers to go on strike, backed by their superintendent sends that message loudly albeit sacrificially. It meets fire with fire.
