KATHY HEBERT

Florence, MA – Kathy Hebert, age 76, of Florence, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on April 9, 2026. She was born on December 7, 1949, in Rochester, New York.

Kathy was a loving, faith-filled, and thoughtful woman whose presence brought comfort and steadiness to those around her. She was a devoted Catholic whose beliefs guided the way she lived each day. Her faith was not only something she practiced, but something she shared generously through service, prayer, and example. She was deeply involved in her church community, where she ran youth programs, taught CCD classes, and served as a Eucharistic Minister. These acts of service reflected the care she carried in her heart and the importance she placed on helping others grow in faith.

Kathy attended St. Michael’s in Northampton and graduated in 1970. Her education helped prepare her for a life of service, and she brought that same commitment into every role she held. She worked as a CNA in nursing homes in Northampton, where she cared for residents with patience, dignity, and kindness. She also worked as a private duty CNA for many years, offering personal care and companionship to those in need. In addition to her work in healthcare, she provided home day care for children, creating a safe and nurturing environment for young lives. In every setting, Kathy was known for her gentle spirit, dependable nature, and sincere concern for others.

Family was at the center of Kathy’s life. She is survived by her husband, Paul Hebert; her son Jeffrey Hebert and his wife Jessica; her son Kevin Hebert and his wife Ann; and her son Eric Hebert, her siblings Raymond, Gary and Jeanette, and her beloved nephew, Bill Leveque. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Caden, Carter, Camden, Heather, Courtney, Casey, and Stephanie, each of whom brought her great pride and joy. Kathy cherished her family deeply, and her love for them was evident in the care she gave, the time she shared, and the values she passed on.

Those who knew Kathy will remember her for the grace with which she carried herself and the kindness she extended so naturally to others. She had a thoughtful way of listening, a loving way of responding, and a faith that remained strong throughout her life. She touched many lives through her work, her church, and her family, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

Kathy’s life was a testament to devotion, service, and love. She gave of herself freely and faithfully, and her legacy is one of compassion, strength, and enduring faith. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of sharing in her life.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday April 18 at 11am at the Annunciation Chapel in Florence. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be announced.
