Volunteers led by the Back to Paradise Committee of the Downtown Northampton Association spent a portion of last Saturday cleaning up several areas of the city, including at Veterans Field, Kirkland Avenue and the North Street bridge. Cleanup also included removing stickers from downtown buildings,
They scrubbed grime off recycle and USA bins, as well as electrical switch boxes, removed stickers from various locations downtown, picked up litter and other trash and cleaned up the Osaka alley brick walls.
The committee is focused on promoting public art, increasing greenery and helping with planting and removing tagging from public and private areas.
