I could not agree more with the April 2 letter [“Lots of questions for Eric Suher“], which is compelling me to sit down to write. For years, decades, I have walked through Northampton and watched the disintegration of Eric Suher’s properties. Properties on Main Street, King Street, Center Street — churches, restaurants, bars, music venues — all valuable properties that have been run into the ground. And I simply don’t understand it. Is there no way to put into effect laws in the city so that building owners are kept from spoiling the value and beauty and industry of our city? It’s too long that this has been going on. What can be done?
