Hadley, MA – Robert F. Wysocki, a lifelong resident of Hadley, passed away on April 14, 2026, at the age of 91.
Born on December 3, 1934, Robert was the son of the late Andrew and Mary (Lizek) Wysocki.
Known to many as “Bob,” he was admired for his remarkable ability to fix anything. He’ll be remembered for his quick wit and great sense of humor.
Bob attended Hopkins Academy and a year of high school carpentry at Smith Vocational, graduating in 1952.
He was a proud veteran serving honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1953 to 1955.
Throughout his life Bob was a dedicated, hard worker. He worked as a mechanic at Rowe’s Garage, and a professional truck driver for Matuszko Trucking, Cains, and Coca-Cola. One of his proudest accomplishments for Cains was driving over a million miles without a traffic incident. He’d tell you that it was a few times to the moon and back.
On February 1, 1958, he married Eleanor Mae Angelica of Thompsonville, Connecticut, with whom he shared 68 years of marriage. They enjoyed many years of snowmobiling, Polka dancing, and just sitting on the porch together.
He found great joy in hosting family gatherings, cheering on Boston sports teams, working in the yard, renovating his home, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a longtime member of the Lions Club and served as a Volunteer Firefighter in North Hadley.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Eleanor “Ellie” Wysocki of Hadley; his children, James Wysocki and his wife Terri of Hadley, Carrie Clerkin and her husband Peter of Darien, CT, Laurieanne Wysocki of South Deerfield, and Marci-Anne Kelley and her husband John of Hadley; and his grandchildren, Jack and Delaney Kelley.
Bob also leaves behind his sister Joan Zabawa, her husband Frank, and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Eugene Wysocki and his wife, Nancy.
Visiting hours will take place on April 22 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Czelusniak Funeral Home, 173 North Street, Northampton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on April 23 at 10:00 AM at Most Holy Redeemer Church, followed by burial at Holy Rosary Cemetery.
