Praise for Cooley Dickinson
I recently suffered from a mystery illness requiring multiple trips to the Cooley Dickinson ER along with several admissions. As a physician, I am bombarded daily with the dysfunction in medicine due to staff shortage, insurance interference, and endless obstacles to patient care imposed by bureaucracy and administrators to the point that I have become convinced that every aspect of healthcare is broken.
My recent experience at Cooley Dickinson completely changed my perspective. Every person I came in contact with treated me with kindness and respect. This included receptionists, nurses, phlebotomists, transport, radiology techs, hospitalists, and ER docs. Of course healthcare in America is broken with no end in sight, but it was such a pleasant surprise to see that part of medicine still works and I’m grateful to Cooley Dickinson for the wonderful care I received.
