Thomas Robert Wanczyk

Hadley, MA – Thomas Robert Wanczyk born to Joseph Francis and Joan (Herrick) Wanczyk on May 16, 1958 passed peacefully at home with his wife Amy and family by his side on April 28, 2026. Tommy, alongside his brother Paul, ran the family business their father started some 72 years ago. They worked together every day, all their lives, as a team, maintaining their reputation as the very best. Dawn and Amy supported them to be sure things were working well too. Tommy loved Tournament Fishing on the Bass Trail consistently placing in the top spots. He also loved saltwater fishing for Cod, Haddock, Striper and Bluefish. He enjoyed time spent with his nephew Paul J. fishing all over the valley and beyond. In the fall he could be found in the woods in search of the #1… He also enjoyed time spent with good friends hunting Black Bear. Tommy was incredibly happy to see his niece Amy, husband Jeremy Roberts and their daughters Addison and Hailey move into the Homestead. He believed this was exactly what was meant to be.

Tommy had a truly special way with both the young and old of heart (and dogs as well) so they instantly felt at ease, so very special, and simply free to be as joyful as could be in the moment. Tommy deeply touched the lives of many, including the best of friends who considered him family. He was well known too for sharing his bounty generously and never wavered to lend a helping hand when needed.

He lived his life his way. His huge heart will be deeply missed but it is a comfort to know he is forever fishing and hunting with his brother Joey and will be loved on both sides.

A celebration of Tommy's life will be planned at a later date.
