This is from the Wildwood fifth grade. We have been studying problems in society. I have picked a problem and am going to write to you about the treatment of refugees and immigrants. I chose this topic because these people go through a lot to help their families, and build better lives.
Immigrants get deported even though they are either trying to get a visa or a green card. Refugees leave their homes because of danger and travel very far to get here. Sadly, some refugees do not make it to their destination due to lack of food or water or bad conditions in camps.
All of these people suffer in one way or another so I would like people to help them as best as possible, because they are human beings, just like us!
