Hatfield, MA – Irma Virginia Liquet Croteau, 86, passed on May 31, 2026, and entered into the eternal peace of her Lord and Savior. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond Joseph Croteau, and her son, Humberto Palacios.
Irma devoted her life to caring for others. She worked as a CNA for more than 20 years before becoming an administrator at Brentwood Adult and Nursing Home. She shared a special bond with the senior citizens she served and was known for her compassion and dedication.
She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, senior softball, and especially Bingo, where she loved helping in the kitchen. A natural joker, Irma brought laughter wherever she went. She found great joy in birdwatching and had a special love for dogs of all shapes and sizes.
Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, creating memories filled with fun, laughter, and love.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Cynthia & Christopher Aquadro and grandchildren, Alessandro & Arianna Aquadro, Daniel & Erik Palacios, Kenneth Torres & Sherina Gonzalez as well as 10 great grandchildren.
She will be immensely loved and missed, and her legacy of faith, love, and service will live on in all who knew her.
Calling Hours will be held on Thursday June 4 from 4:30-6:30pm at the Czelusniak Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday June 5 at 10am at the Annunciation Chapel in Florence. Burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
