Warwick, MA – Audrey T. (Broadbent) Pendergast, 90, passed away Monday, June 1, 2026, with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Raymond J. Pendergast, Sr. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Harry J. and Edna L. (Morin) Broadbent. Audrey was the beloved mother of Raymond J. Pendergast, Jr. (Kimberly), Nancy J. McDevitt (Kevin), Jane M. Pendergast (Lori), and Beth A. Madden (Timothy); loving grandmother of Erin, Amy, Michael, Raymond III, Madison, Brady, Brendan, Kyle, Kelsey, Shannon, Jocelyn, Lily, John, and Audrey; loving great grandmother of Johnny, Anne Marie, Peter, Margo, Chloe, Sam, Thomas, Liam, and Brooke. She was the sister of Harry J. Broadbent, Albert G. Broadbent, Joan H. McHale, and Pauline Gentile. Audrey was employed by New England Telephone Bell Atlantic & Verizon for 25 years and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi since 1958 and a member of the Ladies of St. Anne Society.
After 68 years living in the Greenwood section of Warwick, Audrey became a resident at The Seasons Assisted Living in East Greenwich where she made many friends and received outstanding care and love from the entire staff.
Her funeral will be held Monday, June 8, 2026 at 10:30_am in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane, Warwick. She will be laid to rest with her husband in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Her visitation will be held Sunday, June 7 in the Funeral Home from 2-5pm.
