Scott Wilfred Samson 4/13/64 ~ 5/22/26

Keene, NH – Scott Wilfred Samson, 62, died on May 22, 2026 following a brief illness.

Scott was the founder and president of Samson Manufacturing Corporation and SnF Finishing in Keene, NH (formerly in Whately, MA), which currently employ 64 people. For 33 years, Samson Manufacturing has been a leader in firearm accessories, holding military contracts, serving law enforcement agencies, and providing parts worldwide.

A visionary entrepreneur with a deep passion for manufacturing, Scott graduated from Franklin County Technical School as a machinist before pursuing his dream of building his own machine shop. He began with just a few machines in his home garage in Whately and grew the business into an impressive 55,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Keene, NH. Over his career, Scott developed, patented, and sold dozens of products.

Scott is survived by his son Nathan Samson (Heather) of Easthampton, MA; daughter Alyssa Fernholz (David) of The Woodlands, TX; step-daughter Jessica Guyette of Washington, D.C.; and grandchildren Jack, William, and Benjamin.

He is also survived by his parents Wilfred & Patricia (Morrey) Samson of Hatfield, MA and his three siblings, brother Raymond Samson (Anne) of Sunderland, MA; brother Robert Samson (Cindy) of Hatfield, MA; sister Lori Hannum (John) of Whately, MA; and nieces and nephew.

A small private service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Scott Samson Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Franklin County Technical School.

The arrangements have been entrusted to the Fletcher Funeral Home of Keene.
