Chesterfield, MA – Mary Louise Wickland, 79, of Chesterfield, passed peacefully January 16, 2026, surrounded by family and friends. Born October 1, 1946, to the late Joel and Ballantyne "Betty" Marsh in Augusta, Maine, Mary Lou graduated from Cony High School in 1964. She dedicated decades as a Registered Nurse in the Cooley Dickinson Hospital ICU/CCU.
An avid lover of nature and animals, Mary Lou enjoyed gardening, reading, movies, skiing, miniature golf, and cherished time with loved ones. She treasured summers at Belgrade Lakes and Popham Beach alongside many road trips and cruises.
Mary Lou is survived by her son, Col. Matt Robbins (Casey) and granddaughters Kate, Reese, and Brynn; stepson Kenny Wickland (Lorraine) and granddaughters Alexis and Brie; stepdaughter Sandy Healy (Frank) and grandchildren Sarah and Seth; stepson Steve Wickland (Lauren) and grandchildren Savannah and Hunter; neighbor Stevie (Chris) Strong and sons Brendan and Connor; sisters Carole Marsh and Rhena Tibbetts; and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Douglas Robbins, husband Kenneth Wickland, and brother Joel Marsh.
A graveside service will take place 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 2nd, at Center Cemetery in Chesterfield. The family thanks the Town and Cooley Dickinson staff for their exceptional care.
