Living Meadow Farm was established in June 2026 to respond to Easthampton’s request for proposals to revitalize the Town Farm, protect our vital hay fields, and save the Chicoine Family Farm.

Our vision, “Agro-Housing,” bridges the gap between historic preservation and community necessity. We propose the adaptive reuse of the historic Town Lodging House into dorm-style, affordable housing. This residential hub will be paired with our Garden & Farm Classroom, creating a space where affordable living meets hands-on agricultural education.

Beyond housing, our model champions food security. By integrating regenerative farming, on-site food recovery, and community gardening, we will provide fresh, locally grown produce directly to our neighbors. This project honors Easthampton’s heritage while building a resilient, inclusive future.

We invite you to help us turn this vision into a reality. As this is a competitive selection process, your voice is essential. Please follow Living Meadow Farm on social media to stay updated on our progress and share our mission. Most importantly, we urge you to email the mayor and city councilors to express your support for this proposal. Let them know you believe in an Old Town Farm that serves our community.
