My generation is constantly told that it’s our responsibility to correct the mistakes made by those who came before us. From worsening climate change to AI-driven job loss, it’s young people who will face the consequences of inaction on these inherited problems. Many of us are eager to step up to the plate, but it’s difficult to create change within institutions from which our entire generation remains largely shut out.
This is why I support Seth Moulton for U.S. Senate. He recognizes that Congress needs structural change, not just policy change, in order for new ideas to break through. His support for age limits for members of Congress and term limits for committee chairs would finally make room for the fresh perspectives and voices that are sorely needed in our politics.
Seth’s commitment to government accountability gives me confidence that his fight for young people is rooted in conviction, not convenience. He was one of the earliest critics of prediction markets, becoming the first member of Congress to institute an office-wide ban on staff trading in political prediction markets and co-introducing legislation to prevent campaign insiders from profiting off confidential information. His advocacy for a National Youth Council reflects this same principle: that elected officials shouldn’t only pay lip service to younger generations, but remain prepared to answer to those whose futures their decisions will shape.
I am confident that young people are ready to take responsibility for our shared future. But to do so, we need representatives who will make room for our generation in politics. Seth Moulton understands that, and that is why he has my vote for Senate.
