The July 23 political cartoon was wildly off balance. As president, Donald Trump has pardoned more than 70 convicted felons, including a nursing home owner who stole $1.3 billion from Medicare and Medicaid. Surely these and the Epstein crowd are the “worst of the worst.” He has enriched his family while in office to the tune of $4 billion. He has shut down the Consumer Protection Bureau which fights fraud in commerce. He is supported by Republicans in Congress. He clearly works to undermine trust is government and our courts, and this paper seems to advance a tone that supports that.
