Holyoke, MA – Linda Ann Larivee had a deep love for traveling, even taking a tour around Germany, Italy, France, and England in her early 20s. Linda also had a succession of beloved cats: Fluffy, Venus I, Warren I, Warren II, Venus II, Vegas, Warren III, and Venus III.
Linda leaves behind her husband, Peter Quirk, and her cat, Venus III, who will miss her terribly.
Linda passed away on August 1, 2026. Linda was born to the late Arthur G. and Pauline M. (Strycharz) Larivee. Linda’s father was the former owner of Shorty’s Restaurant. From his side, Linda is 1/8 Mohawk.
She was a longtime resident of Holyoke, MA and after attending Holyoke schools, she went on to work for the school department for many years until her retirement. She even taught a couple of courses at Holyoke Community College.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 19 from 4-6pm at the Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home. A funeral home service will be Thursday, August 20 at 10am with burial to follow at Forestdale Cemetery in Holyoke.
