HADLEY — A long-planned Dave’s Hot Chicken restaurant opens Friday at 5 South Maple St., at the edge of the Mountain Farms Mall property.
The restaurant will operate from a newly constructed building next to Popeyes, more than two years after plans first came forward for reusing a former bank building that has since been demolished. The new building features large, colorful murals on the sides, with signs featuring the company’s screaming chicken head logo.
Dave’s is known for its Nashville-style hot chicken and a streamlined menu. It serves chicken tenders, sliders, milkshakes and a special kale slaw, as well as macaroni and cheese, french fries and cheese fries. The company also describes itself as the “legendary late-night pop-up turned culinary sensation.”
In a Facebook post, the company noted “the wait is finally over” and “we know you’ve been waiting for a minute for this one, so don’t forget to spread the word, tag the crew, and swing by.”
The restaurant will be open daily from 10:30 a.m. to midnight, with closing extended to 1 a.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Dave’s Hot Chicken was founded by chef Dave Kopushyan and three friends in early 2017, initially opening as a parking lot pop-up in East Hollywood, California.
