Hadley, MA – Constance I. Mieczkowski 81 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
Connie was born on December 22, 1944 in Northampton, MA to Irene (Bemben) and Stanley Paulson. After graduating from Hopkins Academy, Connie worked as a teller at Amherst Savings Bank. Her experience there helped her as she began work as the assistant Town Accountant and eventually she went on to become the Treasurer/Collector for the Town of Hadley.
She was the proud mother of three boys which included a set of twins. During this time, she quickly learned the importance of a close-knit family who helped with the workload that came along with three children and a new home.
Throughout the years she was always active in various Town programs. Including being a member of the Hadley Polish American Citizens Club, the Hopkins Alumni Association, the Hadley Housing Authority, and the Hadley 350th Anniversary Committee.
Connie enjoyed her family and always looked forward to attending the sporting events of her grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking her grandmothers old recipes including wonderful Polish dishes like golabki’s and kapusta. Her specialty was pierogies which were shared with the entire family. At family weddings and other special occasions, she could always be found dancing to polkas with her husband Ed. Connie and Ed enjoyed 51 years of marriage before his passing in 2018.
No matter what she was involved in, Connie touched the lives of many people and will be truly missed by all.
Connie leaves behind her sons Raymond and his wife Paula (Kokoski), James and his wife Sandra (Litster), and David; her four beloved grandchildren, Michael, Amanda, Samantha and Sydney. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, as well as other family members and friends, who shared lasting wonderful memories.
