Brayden Fennessy and Colby Cabrini both broke 40 in the Hampshire golf team’s 158-193 victory over Amherst at Blandford Country Club on Wednesday.
Fennessy earned medalist honors with an even-par 35, while Cabrini carded a four-over 39 as the Raiders improved to 2-0 on the season.
Wes Adamski followed Cabrini with a 41 for Hampshire, while Noah Haryasz rounded out the scoring for the victors with a 43.
The Hurricanes were paced by Sawyer Ferro’s 43, with Gavin Duncan (49), Reed Guidera (50) and Graham Van Geissen (51) slotting in behind in the team score.
Amherst fell to 0-2 with the loss.
Belchertown 160, Chicopee Comp 176 — Luke Heroux secured medalist honors for the Orioles, firing a three-over 39, to lead them to their second straight win.
Andrew Wright and Gavin Couchon weren’t far behind, each shooting 40 for Belchertown,. Two golfers shoot 41 to close out the Orioles’ team score at Cold Spring Country Club.
